Calypso- Campaign

Project Overview

This campaign was created for Calypso Theme Waterpark with the objective of delivering a compelling and memorable call to action. The concept leverages Calypso’s iconic mascots—instantly recognizable to anyone who has visited the park—to create an emotional connection with the audience and reinforce brand recall across all age groups.

The Challenge

The challenge was to design a campaign that would resonate with both returning visitors and new audiences, encouraging them to purchase season passes while maintaining Calypso’s energetic and playful brand identity. The call to action needed to be clear, engaging, and visually tied to the park experience.

  • Create a strong call to action that clearly promotes season pass purchases.

  • Utilize Calypso’s iconic mascots to enhance recognizability and emotional connection.

  • Strengthen the association between characters and signature rides.

  • Design visuals that feel fun, welcoming, and accessible to a wide age range.

  • Use color and contrast intentionally to improve visibility and accessibility.

The Concept & Design

The campaign features Calypso’s mascots proudly holding season passes, immediately communicating the campaign’s purpose. They are positioned in front of their signature rides, reinforcing the connection between the characters and the attractions visitors know and love.

  • Mascots: Act as both brand ambassadors and nostalgic touchpoints for returning guests.

  • Visual elements: Speckles, stars, and playful textures reflect the park’s lively atmosphere.

  • Color palette: A bold blue and yellow scheme was chosen to attract attention, evoke trust and excitement, and enhance contrast for accessibility.

  • Familiar imagery: Designed to instantly resonate with past visitors while remaining inviting to new audiences.

Outcome & Learning

The final campaign successfully balances brand recognition and clarity, using familiar characters to create a strong emotional pull while clearly directing audiences toward the desired action.
